How it is scored
| Level reached | Hören und Lesen |
|---|---|
| B1 | 33–45 |
| A2 | 20–32 |
Hören and Lesen share one score
This is the thing most sites get wrong. The two reading and listening parts are not passed separately — the exam board bands them together out of 45 points, which is the 20 from Hören plus the 25 from Lesen. A strong reading result can carry a weaker listening one, and the other way round.
What decides your overall level
The overall result is not an average, and speaking is a gate.
